So today we have the "bluCig Smoke Smarter" disposable, manufactured by bluCIGS.
The reason that disposable eCigs are even a part of this blog, is because there's a real need for a super-simple Vaping solution that doesn't involve batteries, chargers, tanks, atomizers, eJuice and the potential technical issues that come with people who aren't inclined to take things apart and put them back together.
Personally, I would love to find the perfect "Cigarette shaped" eCig for daily use, but I haven't found it yet. Of course I'm not looking for a disposable one, I'd be happy with some type of carto/battery setup IF I could find something that worked well AND tasted good.
The bluCig may be the most solidly constructed disposable that I've come across yet. Not only does it have EXCELLENT battery life, but it feels solid and well made when holding it in your hands. It's a little longer than a 100 cigarette, it's also a bit weighty, but most of that weight is due to the large battery. Battery life on a disposable is CRITICAL, because if you run out of Juice before you run out of eJuice you're gonna be bummed.
But like all things, with the good comes the bad and the bad is BAD.
The eJuice used in these is what I call "Ashtray Flavored". To be fair, the one I'm reviewing is their "Classic Tobacco" flavor. As best as I can figure out, they must want you to have that same nasty, burnt ashes taste in your mouth, so your mouth tells your brain that you've had a real cigarette.
In all fairness, they do offer other flavors like, Vivid Vanilla, Cherry Crush, Magnificent Menthol, Pina Colada & Peach Schnapps. But I shouldn't have to buy a CANDY FLAVORED eJuice if I'm trying to replace Analog cigarettes. I should be able to use a regular "Tobacco" flavored eJuice and then MAYBE use a secondary flavor to break things up once in a while. (Yes, I know there are some of you out there who own 30+ flavors of eJuice)
The other piece to the puzzle on cigarette shaped eCigs, is the DRAW. If you have to suck really hard, because there's too much resistance or not enough resistance, you're not going to enjoy your Vaping experience. Personally, I feel that the bluCig has a little too much resistance, but it's not horrible.
So, if you want a disposable with excellent battery life, a decent draw and don't mind Vaping "candy flavors", then the bluCig may be for you. If you want a good cigarette replacement, you may want to try something else.
