Quitting smoking is possible!

You may think that quitting smoking is a total impossibility for you....

I'm going to tell you, that after 30 years of smoking cigarettes, not only is it possible, but I've been cigarette free for days (now over a year!), at the time of this writing!

Review: 6 Tobacco eLiquids from Hangsen

So I was 75% done with this review and don't ask me what happened, but while this blog entry was saved as a draft, somehow it got erased.  I've contacted Google, but I'm not expecting them to dig it out of their server
(perhaps WordPress is in my future).  Anyway, I had written a whole bunch of interesting stuff, but being a bit downtrodden, I'm just going to have to make the best of it.  Since I already covered a lot of background information on Hangsen in my first review of their eLiquids, you should check out that review too...

So today I'm bringing you 6 Tobacco eLiquids from Hangsen.  If you're interested in learning more about Hangsen eLiquids, please review my previous post HERE.

For the sake of completeness, all eLiquids tested are 12mg nicotine and are of indeterminate PG/VG ratios.  From the studying I've done, there are some very advanced ways to produce eLiquid that can make it too difficult to claim specific percentages.  I can't help but wonder if that's why Hangsen doesn't provide that information.

I will be testing these using my VAMO 3, so that I can control the Voltage.
I will be testing these in either my Kanger ProTank or my KamryTech X10.
I will be using 2.5Ω ProTank atomizer heads in both, so they're essentially the same.

Here are my rating criteria for judging eLiquids:
  • Taste - Does it taste like what it says it's supposed to taste like?
  • Lingering Flavor - Does the flavor have PRESENCE & does it last?
  • Vapor Production - Does it make lots of Vapor?
  • Throat Hit - Is the throat hit too weak, too strong, or just right?
Testing Notes: One of the things I see all too often, is that "Flavor is subjective".  NO, your individual tastes may be subjective, but flavor is flavor.  I've never had a steak that tasted like chicken.  I've never had an orange that tasted like a banana.  I've never had a cup of coffee that tasted like Hawaiian Punch.  If you ever see me give an eLiquid a bad review, it's because they TASTE BAD and not because I don't like a particular flavor.  I don't care for the flavor of peaches and mangoes, so you won't see me review anything that contains those. Understand? For more information on this topic please read THIS Blog post...

Arabic Tobacco - This particular flavor is verrrrry interesting.  I've never tasted anything quite like it.  While I can't personally tell you whether it accurately portrays an Arabic Tobacco blend, I can tell you that its Vapor production and throat hit were perfect and the flavor did linger.  Accurate or not, I personally did not care for this flavor.  The only other comment I can make about this one, is that the Aroma of the exhaled Vapor was very strong.  This one should not be considered a "stealth Vape".  If you're looking for something "different" and you like Tobacco flavors, perhaps this one is in your future?

Cigar - The cigar flavor was disappointing for me.  Having smoked 100's of cigars in my lifetime, I know what an average (or better) "cigar" smells and tastes like.  This does not smell like, nor does it taste like any cigar I've ever been around.  It did however leave my mouth as dry as a desert.  The throat hit was perfect, however the Vapor production wasn't as dense as I would have expected.

Cubana - I've smoked dozens of Cuban cigars over the years and any cigar aficionado will tell you that they have a quality all their own.  I was really looking forward to this one.  While the Vapor production was perfect and the throat hit was right on the money, this one has as much in common with a cigar as a bird has with an F-22 Fighter Jet.  The flavor was much less like a cigar and much more like a cross-breed of an RY4 and a 555 eLiquid.  There was a peculiar vanilla flavor/aroma mixed in with the aroma of maple syrup.  Yeah, that's what I thought too.  Perhaps "Uncle Fidel" never made it over to China so they could try them?

Eastern Tobacco - Much like the Arabic flavor, I had no idea what to expect with this one.  When I think "Eastern Tobacco", I suppose I think of Asian tobacco blends, which of course I've never tried.  This one is the lightest in both bottle-smell, color, flavor & aroma.  Both throat hit and Vapor production are as expected.  My first impression about the flavor, reminds me of a "plain old Analog cigarette".  While I no longer find that flavor desirable  I'm sure that there are 1,000's of new Vapers out there that might.  Honestly, it's really not bad.

Indian Tobacco - Hangsen describes this one as "A unique tobacco taste to try".  So I don't know if I'm excited or scared!  ;)  Ok, let's get the simple stuff out of the way.  Vapor production and throat hit are perfect.  Smell in the bottle is similar to the smell of the Cigar flavor.  However, the flavor of this one is in fact UNIQUE!  So double bonus points to Hangsen!  It has the undeniable flavor of a tobacco cigarette, but there's something else going on here!  Is it fruity?  Is it chocolate?  I just don't know!  But I like it!  It's interesting, it's different, it's nice.  This is definitely the STAR of this batch!  If you're looking for something different AND you like tobacco flavors, TRY THIS ONE for sure!

Marlboro Red Flavor - Most sellers in the USA are terrified that Philip Morris is going to knock down their doors for using the word "Marlboro".  Step it up and add the word "Red" to the first word and you're as good as in prison!  Now I've tasted more than a few "Marlboro flavored" eLiquids and to be honest, I know why PM is defending their brand.  Because most of the knock-off Marlboro flavored eLiquids taste like poop.  So for those of you who don't already know it, the term "USA Mix" is slang speak for "Marlboro & Winston similar".  Because honestly, most people can't tell the difference between a Marlboro and a Winston.  I can, but let's move on.

Now I started out as a Marlboro smoker.  I smoked Marlboro for close to 15 years.  I started with Reds, moved to 100's and finished off with Lights.  Heck, when their Menthol variant came along, I tried those, when the "Special Blend" came out I even tried those.  So I know what their offerings actually taste like.  Currently, my favorite eLiquid flavor from Hangsen is "Marlboro - Mint" (a cigarette variety that isn't even sold in the United States), so I'm really looking forward to seeing if this one actually tastes not only like a "Marlboro" (which is another one of their flavors), but like a "Marlboro Red"!

First of all, the Vapor is ridiculous on this one.  At first I wasn't entirely certain about the throat hit, but considering this is a "Marlboro Red" flavor, the throat hit is perfect!  As for the flavor, I can not confirm that this is the "secret sauce" to having a "Marlboro Clone".  Much like the Eastern Tobacco flavor, it clearly tastes like a cigarette, but I'm not too sure it's a Marlboro cigarette.  I'm going to Vape this one for a little while and see if my impressions change.

30 minutes later and I'm 100% positive that this does not clone a Marlboro.  It's a good cigarette flavor for anyone who really wants to clone a cigarette taste, but quite honestly, with so many flavors available that are non-tobacco related, I'd think that you've got some much better options!

So that's 6 Tobacco Flavored eLiquids from Hangsen.  They're not all winners, and some are clearly acquired tastes, but if you don't at least try something new, you'll never know what you could be missing!

As always, please remember this:  If you like something that I say is junk, please -- keep using it!  Anything that keeps you away from those nasty Analogs is fine by me!

Matthew 15:10-11 (GW) - Then he (Jesus) called the crowd and said to them, "Listen and try to understand! What goes into a person's mouth doesn't make him unclean. It's what comes out of the mouth that makes a person unclean."

As always, thank  you for your support, thank you for your comments and thank you for Liking it, Tweeting it, Sharing it, +1ing it and telling your dog about it, etc...  ;)

  1. Indian Tobacco from Hangsen is unique indeed!
I tried a lot of tobacco e-liquids, but found them all downright filthy.
After reading your review I ordered some and was not disappointed.

    1. Hello T.,

      Now that's what I call a compliment! :)

It's nice (for a change) to have people thank me for my suggestions, as opposed to crying foul, because I've written that their supplier of choice wouldn't know a strawberry from a dingleberry! (lol...)

Of course I jest... I'm pretty sure I've never given that bad of a review... Close to it, but never that blatant...

So I'm assuming that T. is none other than "Theo from the Netherlands"? If so, be sure to read my "Blog Reboot" post!

Regardless, thanks for your comments and compliments...

  2. Dear Pastor,
Here's another nice guy, also from The Lowlands of course ;-)
I started with e-smoking just some 3 weeks ago, and due to it I managed to stop smoking cigars at the same time.
For me it's still a search for the liquid that I like best, and I find that reviews like yours really help a lot and are fun to read. It's like having a new toy and, whilst still being unfamiliar with it, finding the very manual for it online (your reviews). It's all pre-fun.
I ordered some Hangsen Indian Tobacco and Strong Mint three weeks ago (from China, still hasn't arrived) and am about to order Hangsen Arabic Tobacco (but maybe not from China this time ;-)
So I honestly cannot (yet) say that your reviews helped me to find my ultimate liquid, but I certainly wouldn't be surprised if they would.
Until now I tried RY4, HA Tobacco, BD Tobacco and Desert Ship, but I am somehow lacking taste in all of those. And I tried 18 mg/ml before, but found 24 mg/ml better.
I guess that, being used to about 6 cigars per day, including inhaling them..., explains my quest for "heavier stuff" (tastewise and nicotine-content wise). So I have quite high expectations of that Arabic Tobacco in 24 mg/ml.
    Time will tell...
But anyway, Thanks a lot for sharing your experiences, please keep up the good work!
With best regards, and happy vaping!,
    Andre

  3. sub ohm tank is a important part of vaping, but how to choose the right one and also the ijoy shogun are both very important. Hope everyone can find their best tank and lux 200 vape for their vaping.
