Quitting smoking is possible!

You may think that quitting smoking is a total impossibility for you....

I'm going to tell you, that after 30 years of smoking cigarettes, not only is it possible, but I've been cigarette free for days (now over a year!), at the time of this writing!

Here are my LIVE current statistics:

SmokTech Octopus Review

NOTICE: OBJECTS IN PICTURES ARE SMALLER THAN THEY APPEAR

So this is a review and a documentary.  It's a review, because you're going to learn a lot about the SmokTech Octopus Dripper and it's a documentary, because this is my FIRST RDA and even though I've learned a lot from using Genesis style atomizers, working with a dripper (as I'm told) is a whole new experience.

Upcoming Reviews for July 2013

Far be it from me than to let anyone down, but I've been running into all sorts of issues/problems with 2 of the things that were at the top of my list for June...

I've been writing my reviews, but due to some issues, I've got nothing else this month.

The review for the SmokTech Octopus 2.0 is now officially on hold.  I've watched just about every video on YouTube regarding drippers, I've listened to everything everyone has ever said about drippers and I've used whatever personal knowledge that I have about drippers and there's a problem.  My experiences are NOT matching what I'm expecting.  I believe that this is the very nature of Science.  You can't learn anything from an experiment that goes well, you can only learn from your failures.  Suffice it to say, that I'm learning more than I anticipated.  So until I get to the bottom of some serious issues, this review is on hold.

Update 7/19/2013: Correction... This review is now UP, check it out HERE!

1. The review for the Sigelei Mechanical Mod #19 has taken as long as it's taken, because there are some design flaws with this mod.  I have overcome BOTH OF THEM, but it took a while because I was waiting for parts to come in from China AND I had to test them thoroughly.  You won't see any sanded down, chopped up, soldered or replaced screws, springs, nuts or bolts in my fix.  But still, I'm only now ready to write my review.  I should have it online early July.

Update 8/2013: The Sigelei #19 review is UP, check it out HERE!

2. The eLiquid from Uno Vapor has remained one of my stable, go to eLiquids for months.  This review is next up on my list.  It shouldn't take me too long, as I've been using it for so long.

Update 6/29/2013: The Uno Vapor review is UP, check it out HERE!

3. The 36 eLiquids from NicoPure Labs is also back on hold, until I get a properly functioning /properly performing dripper that doesn't cost $100.  If you're a "Dripper Guru", someone who knows how to get a dripper to really perform, I want to hear from you.  Please use the comment form at the right to contact me.  Apparently I don't know enough to do this by myself.  I say "apparently", because I've used every ounce of logic I possess and I still don't come up with anything even close to what I see some people doing in videos.  Either they're doing something they're not revealing (like vaping at .2ohms and using 8.4V, thereby destroying the flavor of their eLiquid) or I'm just not picking up on something that I should be able to.  If you think you can help me, please contact me.

Update 7/19/2013: Correction... This review is UP, check it out HERE!

4. Based on the hits to this Blog and the emails I've been receiving from my contact form, I'm considering doing a SECOND followup for the Kanger ProTank.  Apparently there's more that people want to know and there are more discoveries that I've made that I should share.  So look for that as part of the July 2013 offering.

5. On the heels of the ProTank, I've got a Kanger EVOD on its way.  Based on all of the reviews I've read and based on the design of the device, I can't help but wonder if the EVOD isn't just a less expensive alternative to the ProTank, with the same flavor/Vapor & performance!  If I'm right, move over Stardust, because the EVOD is THE CE4+ killer!  Again, look for this in July.

Update 7/18/2013: The Kanger EVOD review is UP, check it out HERE!

6. Something I should have reviewed ages ago, is the Stardust.  I'll be reviewing a CE4 & a CE5.  To be honest, I'm not particularly thrilled about it as I hate wasting money.  But what's a couple of dollars if it helps you to get away from the nasties, right?  ;)

7. If you have not yet done so, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, participate in our anonymous POLL.  It's for a really good cause!  And then after you've voted, please share it with every Vaper you can find.  I'd love to get a sample of at least 1,000 votes in the next 30 days.  Won't you help me?  :)

18650 & 18350 Battery Review

UPDATE: Please participate in our anonymous POLL.  It's for a really good cause!

So over the past few months, I've been conducting my own independent tests of a few different batteries for use with my eCigs.  There's a huge disparity of information out on the internet about "what's the best", so instead of concerning myself with "what's the best", I want to answer a different question...

Kanger ProTank Review

UPDATE: Please participate in our anonymous POLL.  It's for a really good cause!

The ProTank followup is now online Here!

So the last time I reviewed a Kanger product, I was pretty much ready to throw it out the window. (don't get excited, it's just a figure of speech)

This time however, I'm ready to put this product into my soon to be created "Hall of Fame"!

SmokTech Natural + RSST Kit Review - Followup

UPDATE: Please participate in our anonymous POLL.  It's for a really good cause!

So I've received a whole bunch of communications from people in different places asking me to do a followup review on the SmokTech RSST leaking issue. (the original review is HERE)

When I first setup the RSST, I had one small "snag"...  The lower isolator (the one in the 510 connetion) would not come out.  When I say "would not come out", I mean to say "I didn't want to force it out".

I've been wondering if maybe it wasn't seated correctly and perhaps that was causing some leaking.  Although in retrospect, any leaking is ORIGINATING from the top, but regardless, I wanted to make sure.

So I took apart the whole unit and very carefully got the isolator removed.  Upon which I discovered something new.  The upper and lower isolators ARE NOT THE SAME, which means that THEY ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE.

So I took my time, carefully cleaned and inspected each part and put it back together.

3 hours later, I had my first signs of leakage, so reassembly is not the solution...

Added 5/26/2013: I have pretty much stopped using this RBA.  Its flavor reproduction is a 2 out of 10.  If your taste buds are dead due to so many years of smoking, you probably won't notice.  So if that's the case, and if you can get past the dripping 510 connector, the RSST Vapes really well.

IMPORTANT: If you're thinking about getting an RBA, because you're trying to get a better more consistent Vape, then perhaps you should check out the Kanger ProTank FIRST!  It's half the price of the RSST, Vapes like a dream AND it produces great flavor!

Next, The Natural...

I went ahead and ordered 2 different kinds of protected batteries (which I'll be reviewing soon).

Update 6/8/2013 - The Battery Review is UP!

I now know that protected 18650 batteries WILL NOT WORK IN THIS UNIT.  Why won't they work?  Well, they won't FIT, they're TOO LONG.

As you can see from the image above, you CAN force a protected 18650 battery into the unit, but you're going to have some problems making everything "fit" correctly.  For the purpose of this review, I went ahead and unscrewed each part of the tube a little bit at a time, until I was able to fit everything together.  I'm not happy though.  I don't like how it feels in my hands AND I happen to think it looks stupid.

My recommendation: Don't use protected batteries in this device unless you're willing to purchase the extended tube (which I don't even know for certain will work.  according to the ST website, that tube is to support 18500 batteries, so that might not even be a real option).  If you're worried about using unprotected batteries, then don't get a Natural.

So that's my SmokTech Natural + RSST Kit Review - Wrap-up.
As always, I hope you find my reviews, opinions & advice helpful...

I recognize that everyone's mileage may vary, so whatever you use, as long as it's not a cigarette, it's a great device!

Rebuildable Atomizer Reviews Coming Soon!

So I've been studying for the past 2 months about RBA's or Rebuildable Atomizers.

The idea is that instead of having a disposable (or something that lets you just replace the wick/atomizer assembly) that you instead have something that let's you CREATE your own wick and CREATE your own coil, CUSTOMIZED to your own specifications.

Keep an eye out, I'll be reviewing the AGA-T2...

Update 4/11/2013: There are now 2 RBA reviews online for your review:

1. AGA-T2 Review

2. SmokTech The Natural + RSST Kit Review

As this is an aging blog entry, please check the main page for newer, more updated reviews.
