Quitting smoking is possible!

You may think that quitting smoking is a total impossibility for you....

I'm going to tell you, that after 30 years of smoking cigarettes, not only is it possible, but I've been cigarette free for days (now over a year!), at the time of this writing!

Here are my LIVE current statistics:

Zhuhai Youde AGA-T2 Review

UPDATE: Please participate in our anonymous POLL.  It's for a really good cause!

I warned you a few days ago that I'd be doing a review of my first RBA (ReBuildable Atomizer)...  Well, I've been using the AGA-T2 for about 2 weeks now and I'm ready to give it a shot!

The AGA-T2 is the 3rd evolution in the AGA-T line of products.  The original AGA-T had a twist on top-cap with knurled parts, their second model, the AGA-T+ featured a top-cap with dual o-rings to keep it in place (and to be able to adjust the air inlet for maximum vapor) and polished stainless steel.  The T2 has the same features as the T+, except it has a Pyrex glass tank instead of the T+ polycarbonate tank (pictured above).  Enough of that!

There are a zillion reviews out there for this unit, so I won't do what they did.  Instead I'll answer some questions... The key questions that I want answered are more than likely the same questions you want answered...

Q: How much vapor does it produce and how good does it taste?

A: CLOUDS and YUMMY! (are grown men allowed to say yummy?)

The AGA-T2 is also referred to as a "Genesis Atomizer".  99% of the Genesis attachments (atty's) are basically the same.  They have a hole or two for wicks, and a screw or 2 (or 3 or 4) for coils.  The idea is that you can make your own wick and you can wrap your own coils.

Why would you want to do that?  Well, if you had an early experience like I did, where everything you tried to "vape on" tasted BURNT, you definitely need to try one of these!

The other great thing about the Genesis style, is that your coils and wicks last a LONG TIME.  What this means, is that your TOTAL COST OF OWNERSHIP goes down DRAMATICALLY!  Stainless steel mesh (for wicks) can be obtained for as little as $8 for an 11" x 8" piece.  You can make like 50 wicks from that amount of mesh!  That's 16¢ per wick! Take that Stardusts and ViVi Nova's! (their wick/coil assemblies can cost from $1.50 to $3.50 each!)  Wire to wrap your own coils can be obtained for as little as 2¢ per foot!

My previous favorite device before I found this one, was a Carto/Tank solution.  No matter what you do, there's air-holes at the 510 connection and they leak.  If you want to move up to a more sophisticated battery (like a VAMO, LAMBO, ProVari, LavaTube, GG, etc) you're not going to want your carto leaking all over your battery.  The AGA-T2 has no air-holes at the 510 connector, so the only way it can leak, is if you don't put it together properly (it's really easy to put together, but accidents can happen to anyone)

But the flavor production of this RBA is out of this world!

I've used about 9 different e-Juices with the AGA-T2 and no matter what I throw at it, whether it's 100% PG, 100% VG or a mixture in between, it produces TONS of vapor.  What's a ton?  More vapor than a carto/tank setup, but less than a steam engine!

The manufacturer of this device is in China and they don't do retail.  If you want to purchase one of these, there are 100's of places you can get them online, ranging from $25 - $37.  Just be careful that you are purchasing the one you want though.  There's some retailers who are selling what they're calling a T2, but it's really a T+.  As with anything, buyer beware.

The key to using it though is the BATTERY you use.  I'm going to write up a whole post about it, but suffice it to say, that the battery you choose to use (see list from above) and the type of coil you make on your RBA, mean everything to how it performs.

Keep your eyes peeled for that...

  1. Haven't seen a battery post yet

I have an SID VW/VV (think Z-Max/Vamo E-vic etc) with some 18650 batteries... Should I be thinking of something else for the AGA-T2? Wouldn't what I have cover all my bases?

(I haven't really looked into the reasons for a mechanical yet)

    Thanks

    2. Last night, I decided that I was finally ready to do the battery post, so keep your eyes peeled! This took longer to put together than you would have expected as testing/charging takes time...

      Thanks for the nudge...
